first, we went to st george. my parents, me, katelyn, katie, sam, jesse, and jade. we got to stay where high school musical was filmed. we laughed about different things in the movie and how we could recreate them. from running on the golf course to swimming in the pool, i think we did a pretty good job. troy would have been swept off his feet. who needs that other girl anyway. along with staying there, we hiked in zions and went to vegas. it was the perfect way to start out the summer. and time for the first of the photo overload.
let's see. next after that trip i worked a lot. i love my job. the girls i work with are great, i'm not overloaded with hours (although sometimes i wish i had more) and i actually enjoy going to work. sorry to say i don't have any pictures of that.
along with working i had clogging. the whole first part of june we spent many many hours getting ready for branson. if you don't know what branson is, it's a town in missouri that is like a las vegas for old people. it's a great place. beautiful trees and lots of friendly people. one of my favorite places in the world. usually we go to branson and clog in silver dollar city, an amusement park there, 4 times a day outside. however this year we got to dance before shows in downtown. it was a blast. we had so much more time to go do things and just play around. we also got to do a competition while we were back there! it was kind of scary just because i wasn't used to how they do things and stuff but it was a really good experience and my team did really well. we took 1st in four of our six dances and then danced two off again and became grand champion team. my duet partner and i danced off three different times and took 1st in our age group and overall grand champions! that was probably one of the best moments on the trip. we were totally shocked but really happy about all of it. everyone on my team did well individually too and we totally swept the competition. it was a great day. other activities we did back there included: going to a water park, going to the amusement park, shopping, getting to walk through a titanic museum which was incredible, clogging, church, dixie stampede! (my favorite show and this year i even got to help in the audience participation! a major dream come true. i'm a child i know), getting kissed by elvis (what a babe. it was only on the cheek), and many other things i can't even remember. and here come the pictures.
after all this crazy happenings i came home and reunited with my special four. i gave them each a classic branson t-shirt and we tried some extremely hot taffy. i love these girls and i don't know where i would be without them.
now i can't say everything this summer has been rainbows and joy, i did get sick in branson and sure i have had my hard days but having my family and friends around is making this summer one that may be my favorite so far.
also a thank you to heather because i used some of her pictures from branson. :)
this have been the pieces of pavement in the summer thus far. however here's a little sneak of where i'll be going in july.
the ranch (also known as heaven on earth)
and these last two pictures... well i'll have to tell you where and about that later.
hope you all are having a wonderful summer. much love.
